Food in the exhibition

Worthwhile information to all trade fair participants planning to sell food or beverages, or offer these products for tasting during the fair!

We would like to remind you that, upon identifying violations, the Food and Veterinary Service (FVS) inspector may terminate food distribution and/or apply a penalty.

About the Law
When a company signs a contract-application for participation in a trade fair, it resolves to abide by the normative acts of the Republic of Latvia, as well as it undertakes to comply with the general rules of the exhibition and special epidemiological safety measures. Each participant shall be responsible for compliance with these rules.

About Food
The food chain is one of the most strictly regulated business areas in Latvia and people involved have to be ready to abide by the EU regulations and decisions, Latvian laws, and Regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Organisation of lotteries

If you plan to organise a lottery, quiz, raffle etc. during the exhibition, please find out whether your planned activity is recognised a lottery of goods or services by law: https://www.iaui.gov.lv/lv/precu-un-pakalpojumu-loterijas!

We would like to inform you that the organisation of lotteries is regulated by the Lotteries and Gambling Supervisory Inspection of the Republic of Latvia. In case the planned activity is considered a lottery, the participant shall apply for a permit to conduct a lottery in due legal form.
