One small town, but such a big story!

In the north of Ukraine, like an island in the middle of pine forests, was located the town Slavutych.

Slavutych is a young town with a unique history. The town was created after the biggest man-made disaster of the 20th century – the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. For a long time, Slavutych was an integral part of the world’s most famous tourist route to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.

The war fundamentally changed the way of life in a cozy town. Only thanks to their indomitability and faith in the stability of their country, the people of Slavutych were able to survive the terrible events of the occupation. When the enemy entered Slavutych, all the townspeople went to the Central Square of the town and almost bare handed drove the invaders away!

Yes, Slavutych always has something to surprise you! It is a compact, green town that has its own unique architectural ensemble, which was created by Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Ukraine. Walking through the town, it is as if you are immersed in different corners of the world, because each country has built its quarter in traditions characteristic only for it. Only in Slavutych, in Ukraine, you can be in Armenia at the same time and grill barbecue on an outdoor grill right next to your house, admire Georgian cypresses as if in Batumi, go shopping at the «Daugava» store and have dinner at the restaurant «Old Tallinn».

Our town brand slogan is "Slavutych - the town of new ideas"! The town always strives for innovation - this is how in 2021 Slavutych became the first "Small Cultural Capital of Ukraine", winning the project from the Ukrainian Cultural Fund. A project initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska is being implemented here "Slavutych - a barrier-free laboratory". The town is a signatory of the European Agreement of Mayors for Climate and Energy Conservation.

The events of 2022 stirred up a wave of volunteer solidarity tourism, which will allow the whole world to get to know such Ukraine, which inspires brave Ukrainians to fight!

Slavutych joins this wave and awaits guests who respect the world around them, people and culture.

The meeting with the Ukrainian Slavutych will be unforgettable!
